By Jeff Glaze Last month, I was graced with the presence of my 23 year old son for a series of three nights while he came over to watch television. It isn't that he does not have a television, but his cable system in Cobb does not carry the Sci-Fi channel. The importance of this was not in the channel itself nor the visit from my son (we visit with him often), but the mini-series called "Children of Dune" that was being featured. To be brief, a movie based on a very popular science fiction book series by Frank Herbert. As I sat with him watching, a line in the movie struck me. The main character was facing a terrible fate when he said this: "Fear is the mind killer. I will face my fear and I will let it pass through me." Fear. It is the wall that stands between most people and the realization of their dreams. It is the element in human nature that controls what we think in every aspect of our lives.
