Business Networking
Often when we think of business and the ways to achieve success in business we overlook business networking as a way to get our message heard.
The traditional way of getting the word out about your business has long been through advertising. Although advertising is definitely a way to reach new prospects for business, it can be extremely expensive and without a lot of research in marketing, you often do not even reach your prospective customer.
Through Business networking you can effectively reach the prospect, often with very little out of pocket expense.
The real power of networking is in the building of relationships. Often you will not go to a function one time and walk away with business. Success depends on following up through a series of meetings, phone calls, mail and email correspondence.
There are a lot of books available on Business Networking and we list several of them on our site. We also feature articles on networking written by authors and experts in this field.

What Are You Afraid Of? By Jeff Glaze
Last month, I was graced with the presence of my 23 year old son for a series of three nights while he came over to watch television. It isn't that he does not have a television, but his cable system in Cobb does not carry the Sci-Fi channel.
The importance of this was not in the channel itself nor the visit from my son (we visit with him often), but the mini-series called "Children of Dune" that was being featured.
To be brief, a movie based on a very popular science fiction book series by Frank Herbert. As I sat with him watching, a line in the movie struck me. The main character was facing a terrible fate when he said this:
"Fear is the mind killer. I will face my fear and I will let it pass through me."
Fear. It is the wall that stands between most people and the realization of their dreams. It is the element in human nature that controls what we think in every aspect of our lives.
If we were to overcome our fears in our lives, what could we accomplish? Anything! We could have the income we desire, the partner we have always dreamed of, the moments of happiness that sometimes seem so elusive, and the mastery of fear would truly alter our lives forever!
So what is it that prevents us from overcoming fear? Read The Rest.. |
